Competitive team policy

The KGA Competitive team has a strong bond of friendship with the majority of those who join, staying for the long term.

The girls enjoy hands on management from the KGA coaching staff with each coach hand picked and guided through the training, planning and preperation by Head Coach Victoria Karpenko.

Training involves best practise physical conditioning techniques, apparatus training methods and technical insights that are still used today by the Russian national team. Their close ties to Kryliya Sovetov school in Moscow ensure the latest trends and developments in the sport are passed to the KGA team to be used in routines and training.

Senior athletes have an individually choreographed routine, tailor made music and hands on training ensuring they are poised to do their very best at competition. Usually, 6-8 competitions are made available to girls each year both nationally and internationally.

KGA girls are immersed in the sport, surrounded by champions on the world stage and exposed only to the highest quality of coaching. We regularly have visits from Olympic gold medalists and European Championship winners who were part of the Russian national team when Coach Victoria trained. Close friendships with athletes of this nature ensure the highest standards are maintained.

If you are already enrolled with KGA and would like to be considered for the competitive team, please let the coach or admin at your gym know.

There are a number of requirements that must be met before joining, including being able to complete specific exercises and elements to the satisfaction of the Coach and commit to minimum amounts of attendance.
